Visionaries Behind Alpine Winter Sports Infrastructure

Discover our history, where we come from and how we got into shaping the alpine landscape
through innovation and expertise.

Initial Foray

Pioneer Works

Only few decades after Italy conquered South Tyrol, our founder's journey began in the 1960s when a local dam project opened the opportunity of eventually supplying timber and later on acquiring our first loader. This marked the foundation of what would become a construction enterprise in the Italian Alps.

Fleet Expansion

Building the Foundation

The company grew to operate a fleet of over 60 machines, establishing itself as a local power in earth movement and civil construction projects.

Ski Infrastructure Innovation

Pioneering Winter Sports Development

Wieser expanded into specialized ski slope development and lift system construction, introducing innovative approaches to alpine infrastructure that would reshape the industry.

Olympic Recognition

Winter Sports Excellence

The company achieved recognition throughout the alps due to its work on the Torino Winter Olympics, Tarvisio Universiade and many other winter sports venues, creating world-class winter sports facilities. The photo shows the Bardonecchia Half Pipe build by Wieser for the Olympics 2006.

Future Legacy

2022 & Beyond | Passing on generational knowledge

After handing over to their third generation, WIESER  has expanded their expertise in alpine design and advisory. While the roots lie in Alpine construction projects in the Italian Alps, Wieser's advisory projects are increasingly international and currently bringing the team to the Middle East.

In construction and due an increasing need to provide snow guarantees, WIESER is focusing increasingly on projects adjacent to snowmaking systems, such as pipe works, all weather snow bunkers and snow making reservoirs.

quality & innovation

Wieser was founded with a vision to conquer the challenging terrains of the Alpine region. Our initial projects set the standard for high altitude construction, showcasing our commitment to quality and innovation.

Our trusted clients

"Getting to know Wieser for such an important project as the one carried out last summer was a pleasant surprise. For Mottolino, it meant relying on professionals who demonstrated great reliability and dedication in their work. Often, one has to step outside their usual network of suppliers and habits to discover that there are specialists in every field – and Wieser is certainly one in theirs."

Marco Rocca
CEO of Mottolino

"For the modeling of the new Sonnenpiste, including the snowmaking pipelines and reinforced earth structures, we relied on the collaboration of multiple specialists. Wieser played a crucial role in this project, executing a significant portion of the work with expertise and precision, contributing greatly to its success. The coordination and cooperation went smoothly – a reliable partner for demanding construction projects.”

Herbert Steger
President of Klausberg AG

“When renewing our gondola lift, we commissioned Wieser for the installation of the track cables, the construction of the track foundations, and the slope modeling, including the installation of snowmaking pipelines. The work was carried out on schedule, with precision and great expertise – we are extremely satisfied.”
